I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
