Intensive Russian Attacks Eliminate Electricity In Ukraine's Capital
During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
Several individuals were hurt while residents in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.
Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.
Moscow has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.
"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and enforcing penalties," was stated in a public message.
Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.
The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to repair systems.
A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.
Several of the people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.
Local officials said the city came under significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy died and several individuals were injured.
The attacks come after periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.
The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.
National leaders told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with strikes already affecting energy systems.
Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were anticipating additional strikes.
