This Festive Drink – How to Make It
WHere is a simplified version of a cocktail from a new menu. This is a large-volume pre-mixed that's loaded with tastes associated with festive period, which makes it excellent for a holiday party. Any leftover citrus syrup for brunch beverages, puddings, or to mix another batch of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 servings
Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (makes 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
To make the Drink (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Instructions
For the Syrup: Place every ingredients into a pot, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring so the sugar melts. After that, remove from the heat and leave to reach room temperature completely. Pour to a clean bottle, cap it keeping it in the refrigerator, it can be stored for about one month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Combine all the liquid ingredients into a sizeable container, let it rest for an hour, then pass it through , ideally through cheesecloth, so it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Add 85ml of your premix to a mixing glass packed with ice, and stir carefully for one minute to chill. Filter into a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, decorate with the cranberries and finish by giving it a brief mist of the essential oil over the top.
